The New Jersey Nets entered a new era on July 7, 1998, when the Nets organization moved its operations to a new site, where the team’s headquarters and state-of-the-art practice facility would be located. This ambitious move made the Nets one of the few teams in the NBA to house their entire front office staff, basketball operation and practice amenities in one building dedicated exclusively to the team.

The facility was designed and built to include all of the conveniences that an NBA team might need in a practice site. The gym consists of two regulation NBA courts, six baskets, and a lighting and floor design that replicates that of Continental Airlines Arena, the home of the Nets. The facility also includes the most up-to-date strength and conditioning equipment, a team video viewing room with oversized theatre seats, a hydro therapy area that includes a 12’ x 30’ lap/current pool, separate locker room and lounge facilities for players and coaches as well as ample storage space for basketball related equipment.

The building also contains a fully-equipped media room, providing both print and electronic journalists a comfortable setting from which they can conduct interviews and file their stories. The media room includes a TV/VCR, multiple phone lines and working space area for 20 people.

The facility, located at 390 Murray Hill Parkway in East Rutherford, totals 65,000 sq. ft., including 15,000 sq. ft. for the practice gym and another 18,000 sq. ft. for all basketball related features.

ther features include a private parking lot for the players, with a players-only entrance that leads directly into the player’s lounge. There is also a visiting locker room for any out-of-town teams that require a practice court to prepare for an upcoming game.

From Garden State Parkway:
Take Exit 153 onto Route 3 East. Follow Route 3 to Route 17 North/Rutherford (approximately 5 miles). Take Route 17 North to 2nd traffic light (Bellavia Buick on left). Turn right onto Union Avenue. Turn right at first intersection onto Murray Hill Parkway (Sabrett Hot Dog Factory on right). Follow Murray Hill Parkway until you arrive at the Nets practice facility (390 Murray Hill Parkway). Make left into parking lot.

From NJ Turnpike:
Take Exit 16 West. Get on Route 3 West. Go past Giants Stadium to Route 17 North/ Rutherford. Take Route 17 North to 2nd traffic light (Bellavia Buick on left). Turn right onto Union Avenue. Turn right at first intersection onto Murray Hill Parkway (Sabrett Hot Dog Factory on right). Follow Murray Hill Parkway until you arrive at the Nets practice facility (390 Murray Hill Parkway). Make left into parking lot.

From Lincoln Tunnel:
Take Route 3 West past the Meadowlands Complex. Take Route 17 North/Rutherford to 2nd traffic light (Bellavia Buick on left). Turn right onto Union Avenue. Turn right at first intersection onto Murray Hill Parkway (Sabrett Hot Dog Factory on right). Follow Murray Hill Parkway until you arrive at the Nets practice facility (390 Murray Hill Parkway). Make left into parking lot.

From GW Bridge:
Take Route 80 West (local lanes). Take Route 17 South exit; make left onto Polify Road. At 2nd light, make left onto Route 17 South. Preceding the 4th traffic light take right exit that indicates a U-turn. Follow the curve and turn left onto Union Avenue (which will cross over Route 17). Turn right at first intersection onto Murray Hill Parkway (Sabrett Hot Dog Factory on right). Follow Murray Hill Parkway until you arrive at the Nets practice facility (390 Murray Hill Parkway). Make left into parking lot.

From IZOD Center:
Take first exit for Route 120 and Route 17. Take the first exit to Paterson Plank Road North. Follow Paterson Plank Road to 3rd traffic light. Turn right at the exit that indicates a U-turn to cross over Paterson Plank Road, thus getting on Murray Hill Parkway. Continue past stop sign at Union Avenue (Sabrett Hot Dog Factory on right) until you arrive at the Nets practice facility (390 Murray Hill Parkway). Make left into parking lot.
