Alex Diaz joined the Nets in February, 2006 as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Arena Operations. Diaz, 36, is serving initially as the Nets' liaison with the team's current home, the IZOD CENTER, and the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority (NJSEA), which runs the facility.
Diaz has overseen the upgrades at the IZOD CENTER, such as the MGM All Access Club, Aflac Backstage Lounge, High Point Solutions Business Center, Loge Box Seating and Digital Sky Banners.
Diaz will oversee the operations of the Barclays Center, the team's planned arena in Brooklyn. His responsibilities will include operations, engineering, scheduling, booking, marketing, food and beverage, security, housekeeping, event coordination/services and parking. Until then, Diaz is involved in several aspects of the development of the Barclays Center, including arena design and the creation of the standard operating procedures. Diaz also oversaw the development and the May 2008 opening of the Barclays Center Showroom, the sales center for luxury suites and sponsorships in Manhattan.
Diaz came to the Nets after a rising career with the Miami Heat, in which he spent three years as General Manager of the AmericanAirlines Arena, while also serving his final two years as Senior Vice President.
Some of Diaz' specific accomplishments included supervising the AmericanAirlines Arena's hosting of the Latin Grammy Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards.
A native of West Palm Beach, Diaz earned a bachelor's degree in sports administration from the University of Florida, then went on to earn a master's degree in sports management from UF.
Diaz currently resides in Mahwah, New Jersey with his wife, Elizabeth, and their newborn daughter Olivia.
Having joined the Nets and its Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment division as Chief Revenue Officer in June 2006, Neil Davis is responsible for sponsorship sales for the Barclays Center, the Nets planned arena in Brooklyn.
One of the most experienced sports sales executives in the marketplace, Davis is seeking to attract best-in-class companies, both national and local, to become sponsors at the Barclays Center.
Davis enjoyed a successful 19-year career (1986-2005) with Madison Square Garden, most recently as Executive Vice President, Advertising Sales, in which he oversaw the advertising sales for MSG Networks, the Knicks, Rangers and Liberty, Radio City Entertainment, arena signage and radio properties. An expert in growing revenue and multi-media packaging, Davis created new partnerships for MSG that grew its business over 50 percent in 10 years. Davis also negotiated the largest sponsorship agreements in the history of the MSG Regional Sports Network.
In September 2005, Davis launched Davis Communications, Inc., which specialized in unique sponsorship packaging in sports, entertainment and venues.
A native of Mount Vernon, NY, Davis earned a B.S. in marketing from C.W. Post College. Davis and his wife, Ilene, live in Chappaqua, NY, with their two children, Jordyn and Blake.
In June 2009, Brett Fischer was promoted to Vice President of Suite Sales for the Barclays Center, the Nets future home in Brooklyn. Fischer is responsible for all aspects of suite sales at the Barclays Center, as well as for the team's current home, the IZOD CENTER. In his 14th season with Nets Basketball, Fischer also maintains a key role in Nets premium seating and ticket sales efforts.
Prior to his current position, Fischer, 34, had served as Senior Director of Premium Seating for the Nets from 2008-09. In addition, Fischer was instrumental in the implementation and development of the Nets Ticket Influencer Program, a popular sales initiative in which the Nets host parties in the homes of season ticket holders to generate new season ticket clients. Fischer also designed the Nets Play Where We Play Program which offers companies the opportunity to play at the Nets practice facility before attending a Nets home game that evening.
Prior to joining the Nets, Fischer worked in the Chicago Cubs organization with the minor league affiliate Williamsport Cubs in Williamsport, PA.
A native of East Brunswick, NJ, Brett received his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University. He resides inWestfield, NJ with his wife, Jennifer, two sons, Zachary, 7, and Noah, 4, and daughter Kate, 2.
