Dave D'Alessandro has covered the NBA since Stan Albeck's final month in New Jersey, which means he is entering his 25th year covering the league. A longtime Fort Lee resident, Dave has written for the Bergen Record, the National Sports Daily, and was the NBA columnist for The Sporting News from 1995-2000. He has been the NBA columnist for the Star-Ledger since 1996, and was the beat writer for the Knicks from 1996-2004.

The 2007-08 campaign will be Julian Garcia's third season covering the Nets for the Daily News. The 1996 Monmouth University graduate has worked for the Daily News for 12 years, serving a variety of duties, including coverage of high school sports, professional baseball, football and golf. After growing up in Little Ferry, NJ, Garcia moved to Morris County in 1999 and currently lives in Boonton, NJ with his wife, Tara, and their 6-year-old daughter, Abigail.

Al Iannazzone begins his fifth year covering the Nets for The Record and eighth season overall, as he covered the team from 1996-2000 for the North Jersey Herald News. From 2001-2004, Al was the Knicks' beat writer for The Record. A graduate of Montclair State University, Al transferred from the Herald News to the Record in 2000, and spent a year working as a high school sports writer/editor before returning to the covering the NBA in 2001. Al currently resides in Allendale, NJ with his wife, Donna, and their son, Anthony.

The senior NBA beat writer in the metropolitan area, Fred Kerber begins his 25th year covering the league. He begins his 14th consecutive season covering the Nets for the New York Post and 16th season overall, as he covered the team for the Daily News for two years in the 80's. Prior to the Nets, Fred had the Knicks beat for eight years. He has served as president of the Professional Basketball Writers Association, and is celebrating his 37th year in professional journalism. Fred spent 16 years at the Daily News, covering news (police headquarters) and sports before joining the Post in 1991. His newspaper credits include the Jersey Journal, Hudson Dispatch and Bergen Record. Fred is a 1974 graduate of St. Peter's College in Jersey City, with degrees in history and English.
